Psychology Dept Programmes

The Psychology Department of our college recently organized an engaging Mental Health Week program that aimed to promote awareness and foster open discussions about mental well-being. One of the highlights was the “Letter to a Psychologist” activity, where students expressed their thoughts and feelings, providing insight into their mental health journeys. Additionally, the department hosted a JPMR (Jacobson’s Progressive Muscle Relaxation) training session, helping participants learn effective relaxation techniques. A Gratitude Wall was set up, allowing students to share messages of appreciation, cultivating a sense of community and positivity. The week culminated in a spirited “Introvert vs. Extrovert” debate, encouraging participants to explore the strengths and challenges of different personality types. Overall, the program was a resounding success, promoting mental health awareness and fostering a supportive environment.
